What kind of second opinion doctor.

I had a colonoscopy last wed and went to see the doctor on fri . With no biopsy results or genetic blood draw results back they said i needed my colon removed. They found about 25 polyps. I think i need a second apinion,what kind of doctor would i need to see . tThe doctor i saw was a colon and rectal surgen.

I would go to see a gastroenderologist. I believe it mostly depends on where and what type of polyps they are. I work with a guy who had his colon removed when he was in his 20's he is now 56 and is as fit as they come.

You saw the correct physician. Colorectal Surgeons are all working out of the same book and recommendations should be consistent. You would need the opinion of another Board Certified, Fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon.
