What should I expect from HIDA Scan?

I have been having gallbladder symptoms for 6 months. I had ultrasound but no stones. I was told to eat a fatty meal the night before, which of course will make me sick. I really hope to fail this test.

I hope you fail the test, too. :)

Here's a decent explanation of it, complete with pics - https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/320496.php

Do you have anyone to drive you to and from? You might want to make plans for that. The article mentions morphine. If you get that, you certainly won't be able to drive.

When is your scan? Let us know what happens, and good luck! I hope you fail with flying colors. :)

Thanks! That article was very informative.
Unfortunately I wasn't  home when they called with results. All they said was normal, no numbers. This can't be right as I'm having right side pain radiating to my shoulder blades. I guess I'm stuck with this for the rest of my life. Frustrating.
I'm sorry to hear that. Definitely follow up with your doctor, and ask what you should do next. Maybe an MRI? A referral to some kind of specialist?

Don't give up. Keep pushing until you get to a doctor who can figure this out.

Hang in there. I know it's so frustrating to have pain and no diagnosis, and having to continue to push, but you'll get there. Keep us posted.
