Why does my wife go through this?

When my wife eats a certain food that upset her stomach, she has bouts of vomiting. She vomits and nothing but phlegm and water comes out. She tells me that food is moving very slowly and it makes her want to vomit. Not only that, but when she goes through this, she seems to lose the ability to control herself. She squirms in bed, has excessive sweating, hot and cold flashes and this leads to her having panic attacks and feeling like she can not breathe.

She is 13 weeks pregnant and she cannot see a gastro while she is. Does anyone have an idea what could be her problem?
