Years of problems with Stool

For years I always have problems with my stool. They are always soft. Something like type 5 in Bristol Stool Scale or between the type 5 and 6

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Stool_Scale

I always smoked. Never care to fiber.. I might eat them but I prefer always white bread and meet meals. Sometimes I get diarrhea immediatly after dinner if I am in restaurants.

After 4 days I have my colonoscopy and gastroscopy but just wanted to check why this can be happened? Any concern about seriouse disease?

Good, H pylori is very common (over 50% of the world's population has it) and there is a good treatment for it.

Thank you dear. I think my lifestyle has just been wrong I think. But as you said, for peace of mind I want to do the colonoscopy and it is good to check the condition of the colon after years of not taking care of eat or drink.

By they way I am not overweight and still 33 years old.  :-)

I am doing the colonoscopy just because there was no inflammation (CRP normal) and all came normal in fact...

Stool examination was OK...

So the doctor was telling me it is IBS.. But the IBS can not be diagnosed this way, so I decided to do the colonoscopy.. And because I am getting the sleep injection, I asked also for a gastroscopy as In the past I had lots of heartburn...

So after this, almost everything will be checked.... and finally will know what the reason is of not being comfortable the last 3 weeks in my abdominal.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  I would recommend waiting to hear the results of your colonoscopy before worrying too much.  Yes, there are diseases to worry about, but most of these are really rare.  Have you tried eliminating all lactose from your diet for 2 weeks to see if that helps?

Hum, I would say it might be your diet. At this point, you might need to detox. Red meat is very hard to digest. You need fiber in your diet! White flour is also not good for you, it is the main cause for pancreotic cancer. It is a good idea to have your colonoscopy and gastroscopy. But at this point, I would have worry about any disease. You might have normal stools after they do the prep, to clean you out, ready for the procedue. I would advise, to really change your eating habits. Doc Oz recommends, on a weekly scale, red meat once a week, fish and poltrey the rest of the time.. so, you have three on and off with fish and chicken or turkey.. leave out the skin, and you can have red meat just once a week. Best if you change your bread and pastas too whole wheats. Breads with grains. I too deal with eating out. I love cheese, and if I eat a dish with a lot of cheese, it sends me running to the bathroom. Pork is another culprit. Anything that is fatty can cause me to have diarrehea. get back to us and let us know the results of your test.good luck.
