a peculiar structure found inside the throat

my sister's child lives with me fpr past many years. She is 6 years old. Today, I happen to see her throat with a torch light and to my astonishment i saw a structure arising behind the tongue. it looks almost like a small tongue. i am not sure what was it. Is this a disorder or anything else. i look forward for your precious answers.

oh sorry ... of course about uvula i knw it. uvula hangs from the roof of the soft palate, but the structure i saw was from beneth, to be exact comes inside from the oseophagus. just behind the tongue. like a small tongue. i was worried about that structure. please could u explain that.....

Welcome to the gastroenterology community! This is called a uvula and every single person has one. If you look in the mirror at your throat I bet you will see yours too.
