alkaline phosphate reading

What causes high alkaline phosphate readings? I have had a liver scan and bone density test and both have been good. What else could cause this?

my daughter is 22 months old her phosphate level is 4000 can anyone tell me why it could be this high.she has constant diarea and she complains with her back and neck hurting all the time.

I thought it was a sign of bone cancer. At least thats what the docs told my dad when his levels were high.

Have they ruled out Paget's disease, hyperparathyroidism, osteomalacia, bone tumors?
