I am allergic to so many antibiotics.  I now have a serious sinus infection and my doctor cannot find an antibiotic to treat the infection that does not cause either hives or diarrhea.  I need help.  Below are the antibiotics that I cannot take but can I take???

penicillen, minocin, keflex, erthromicin levaguin ceftin, cepro, omnicef

So what is left?

Please help me.

Hi Crystal...agree with Boron, an ENT is best.  Have you tried any other remedies?  Im not allergic to antibiotics, but did contract C Diff after taking them, and I  tried a "neti pot".  It basically cleanses your sinuses with a warm saline solution.  Its a bit tricky to get the hang of it - but once you do, its very soothing - and keeps things "moving" nicely.  Before C Diff I had chronic sinusitus, but havent had an infection since using this thing (knocking wood).   Best of luck to you.

Bacteria have to be isolated from your sinuses, and antibiotic susceptibility test made. Then an ENT or infectologist should choose appropriate antibiotic.

I suggest you to visit ENT.
