bloating after colonoscopy?

okay I had a colonoscopy done thursday (4 days ago) and wasnt able 2 have a b.m til last night. i took milk of magnesia & also here it is 4 days later and i have still some tenderness/mild discomfort in abdomen area...should i notify my G.I doc of this or is this common???

thank you for advice..i have called and left messages for them with my concerns...my friend who is a nurse had one done (we use same G.I dr) and she said she didnt have any issues at all after waking up from anesthesia. i will make sure i hear from them soon...

Bloating is very common after a colonoscopy, but usually is just gas from the procedure which "passes" within 24 hours.  I would contact your GI doctor for reassurance, that's why he makes the big bucks.  Never hesitate to call with a concern or question.
