Then I would say with those symptoms of weight gain unable to lose and if you mean constipation by irregular bowel movements, and feeling tired- definitely get your thyroid function checked because those can be symptoms of hypothyroidism (sluggish thyroid function) which can be treated if that's what you have!

What did your doctor base your diagnosis of acid reflux on?  Did he look down your throat?  Did he look at your esophagus? If you have acid reflux, you would be feeling things such as heart burn, sour stomach, worse pain when lying flat and could be having sore throat potentially too.  You'd notice that spicy, fried, dairy and citrus foods really aggravate these symptoms- is that what's happening?

Intestinal bloating can be caused by normal digestion. If you produce flatulence(Gas)that cannot be released in the common way, bloating can occur. If you have not tried any of the anti-gas products sold in supermarket pharmacies, maybe you should experiment to discover whether the products help to remove the gas. If you have regular bowel movements, you should expell enough gas to prevent a gas build-up in your intestines.

Good luck.

You might have more than one issue.  Severe bloating can happen with fluid retention (including that which can come at a certain time in a woman's menstrual cycle), flatulence (gas), a gallbladder issue or constipation.  Fatigue can happen with a host of conditions, including but by no means limited to a sluggish thyroid and very common in women- iron deficiency due to menstruation.  Iron deficiency can also develop with gastrointestinal bleeding or dietary insufficiency or absorption problems.

Have you had your thyroid function and ferritin (iron stores) checked lately?  And have you ever had your gallbladder checked?  Have you recently done occult (hidden) blood testing of your stool?
