Weakness in Guillain-Barre syndrome starts in feet or in hands or in both at the same time, and spreads toward the upper body and then slowly dissapears in opposite direction. Pins and needles feeling is also present.

If your weakness will develop further, bear this diagnosis in mind when speaking with doctors.

If it's G-B syndrome, there is nothing much to do, except waiting. If it's something other, again, only a neurologist can say what can be done. If you think you are in urgent situation, try to get an appointment with neurologist at some closer date. You'll maybe need to make some impression on your GP to achieve that.

Hi, just recovered from C Diff as well.  Had it for 5 months and it took three extended rounds of antibiotics to completely knock it out, the last round being a six week vancomycin taper.  I had many "false negative" lab results in between relapses.  You didnt mention which med you took for your C Diff, but I just wanted to add that my first round was Flagyl, and it caused the numbness/tingling/swelling for  me.  The vancomycin did not.  Just wanted to toss that out there - Flagyl has many lingering side affects for alot of folks.  Hope you feel better soon.
