can a hiatal hernia turn into a cancerous mass?

If you were diagnosised with a hiatal hernia and a stricture in your esophagus in October of 2007 is it possible for the hernia to turn into a cancerous mass and the stricture to disappear in the space of 6 months?

A hiatal hernia does not predispose someone to cancer and it will not spontaneously turn cancerous.
