Research candida overgrowth, try bovine colostrum and probiotic, kefir, etc
I refused to take any anti acids for now. I'm only 25 and refuse to believe there is something wrong with my body. I believe I have a foreign infection in my GI track (being Bacterial, viral, parasitic infections, and/or fungal).
I already tested negative for h pylori and parasitic.
I have been burping alot these days which is a sign of foreign infection. But then again, it could be bile reflex, early stages or organ problems, or Crohn's.
SIBO is small intestine bacterial overgrowth.
From my endoscopy, my doc told me that i don't have a hiatal hernia or GERD.
What is SBIO? I have had all the similar symptoms, but haven't been able to eat. I was just recently diagnosed with gastroparesis (possibly from being on methadone maintenance, so I'm detoxing quickly to see), a hiatal hernia, and GERD. Gastroenterologist said the hiatal hernia is from all the gas built up and from having too much acid. So I got put on an acid reducer, 40mg, Protonix (generic: Pantoprazole Sodium tablets). First I was taking Omeprazole, 20mg, but insurance wouldn't cover, so he switched me to the generic Protonix.
Protonix is a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) and last I checked, Omeprazole isn't. I wanted to know from others experience... Which one gave you less side effects? Also, are the two exactly the same class of medication or different? I also had kidney stones in the past and read that some of the inactive ingredients in acid reducers can cause that. Along with constipation, so I don't want to be on an acid reducer which can cause those in long type use.
I tested positive for SBIO and took antibiotics with no real results.
My symptoms include: stomach burning/stomach sourness that gets better after eating, stomach fullness, fill like my stomach is full of gas, stomach cramps/soreness, burping and passing gas, weird stomach noises (mostly at night), tired all the time, worried, feeling weak, sometime cold (again mostly at night), and mild trembling.
I also have stool changes.
I have a white tongue when I wake up.
Yes men can get candida overgrowth. When they tested for H.Pylori did they check your yeast levels too? Its the test for S.cerevisiae. there are 2. the IGA and IGG. Those being high doesnt say for sure if you have candida overgrowth, but if those levels arent high then you for sure dont have candida.
What other symptoms? stomach bloating alot? white tongue? acid reflux?
To get rid of Candida overgrowth is a pain in the ***. I'm pretty sure I have it myself (why I know any of this) but you basically need to only eat green veggies and organic (non antibiotic) chicken for a month and take probiotics, and hopefully that kills off the yeast overgrowth. Sugars and starches are what feed it, so you cant eat any of that.
