I don't think there is any reason for you to be more worried. This is looking at the pancreatic duct to make sure it is functioning properly, not to look for pancreatic cancer.
dr has now ordered a ercp to check ducts and pancreas..now i am more worried..
Do you have any changes in your bowel movements? Have you had bloodwork looking at your pancreatic function? You have had the proper scans to look at your pancreas and luckily they came back negative.
this pain will not go away..i have tried not eating for days and it never leaves..i just think there missing the pancreas..thats all thats left in the area that bothers me.
Do you have any changes in your bowel movements? Have you tried eliminating any different foods from your diet?
Hi Im sorry you are suffering. Im in a lot of pain too but its my stomach. Constant pain isn,t nice. You have had your gallbladder out,so have I. Look up Post choleocytectmy syndrome,I can,t spell it. I wonder if its something to do with a problem after the gallbladder removal. Im no expert but I read something about a spincter of Oddi dysfunction. Sometimes stones can get left in the bile duct and sometimes the liver can still have the stones. The colon also comes across from the right to the left. It could be inflammation. My gastro said something about checking my arteries I don,t any more about it yet. I had biopsies and no cause has been found for my gastritis pain,so I know how frustrating it is. At least you have had tests so the medical profession are doing something. A gastro said something to me about a scan but I haven,t got an appointment for it. Also we can pray,I don,t know if you believe in God and healing prayer? I hope you get it sorted out soon.
i understand and i am not a stupid person..but my pain was so bad and my doc sent me to er and they were looking for appendix..i was like .."hey jackasses my pain is high up ..not that low..so i am afraid they are just not looking in right area and dismissing the pancreas..
The chance of having a negative CT scan and having lots of symptoms, gives you an almost 0 chance of having pancreatic cancer. You need to stop worrying about this.
Do you have any changes in your bowel movements? Have you tried eliminating any different foods from your diet?
i appreciate the feedback..you dont understand..im losing weight..pain never leaves from the time i open my eyes till i go to sleep..moves a little but always on right side..noone has any answers..just think they could miss pancreatic cancer..pain is at times dealable and other times unbearable..
Welcome to the gastroenterology community! With a negative CT scan, it is almost impossible that you would have pancreatic cancer. I think you can safely eliminate this as a possibility and stop worrying about it. Do you have any changes in your bowel movements? Have you tried eliminating any different foods from your diet?
