chronic diarrhea, bloating, and rectal bleeding...

Hi all,
I am a 32 year old women. Just a little backround in the last two years I had a radical hysterectomy due to stage 3 endometriosis. Since my surgery I have developed a conditioned that has yet to be completely diagnosed but is along the lines a type of neuropathy that mimics seizures and causes visual problems. It may be useful to mention that I take medications for this condition called Topamax and Klonopin, however I have been on these medications for about 8 months now so my neuro doc doubts that they are causing any new side effects.
Sooooo...... I have had chronic diarrhea for about two months now, along with bloating, cramping, and the feeling of always having to go. In the last couple weeks I have noticed small amounts of dark red blood in my stool. A few days ago I had a very loose bowel movement that had quite alot of clotty mucousy blood in it. That alarm me! I have an appt. with a gastro doc, but its not until after the 1st of the year. I have mentioned this to a couple people and they seem to to think I should push to get in much sooner. What do you think???

Thanx for any input.

I understand what you are saying about diet. My family has a significant gastro hx so I have learned alot over the years about eating the right things, I've always been consciencous of what I eat. As of lately with my newfound symptoms I have even been more careful. I have eliminated certain fruits and vegatables, nuts, carbonation, anything highly acidic, and have cut back alot on dairy. Unfortunately it hasn't changed my problem. I did forget to mention that Since Sept. I've lost 25 lbs. not saying I couldn't have stood to lose a few pounds, but this was unintentional. Thanks for your feedback!

Check your diet!  What chemicals are you putting in your mouth?  What are you eating?  MSG causes neurological diseases and MSG has 13 other names.  Are you microwaving your foods?....Food cannot be digested properly after microwaving...see dangers of microwaving.  Diarrhea usually means your system is out of whack.  Aloe will calm inflammation.  Psyllium husk helps immediate effects of diarrhea.  Red meats are not good for you right now...take it easy on your system...start treating it right!

You should push to get some testing done to find out where the blood is coming from. The first of the year isn't early enough....call you doc and get the process started.
