chronic nausea/ weightloss

I am nauseous all the time, for about 2 years now....I mean like everyday, the last time I went to my doctor they mentioned something about a bleeding ulcer but there seems to be more symptoms than just that, I have problems with BM's, burping (as odd as that sounds it really bothers me), a lot of foods give me indigestion therefore I've lot a lot of weight because I simply don't eat much for fear of getting sick to my stomach.  I get pain under my rib cage, usually first thing in the morning, a very sharp pain.  I feel very tired and fatigued most of the time, almost half alert.  Near faint when I stand.  The constant pressure in the back of my throat is killing me and its caused a lot depression.
I just want to know whats wrong with me.

I have the same exact symptoms: nausea all the time, pressure feeling in the chest and the throat as if somebody is chocking me in that area. I have been suffering from these symptoms for more that 2 years.

I had done extensive tests including hyda scan, gastric emptying scan, endoscopy, blood tests, ECG, Ultrasound, MRI MRCP, X-ray, MRI, CT scan. I even took my gallbladder out thinking that this would improve my condition. Unfortunately that did not help.

I tried several types of medicines like acid reflux medicines and others like raglan, xanax, Dompiridone…..etc…..too many to list with absolutely no help.

Last thing I had done was an ERCP procedure which was recommended by a GI doctor and that did not help either.

So I am now clueless on what to do. The nausea is destroying my life and it is affecting my family as well.

finally I know that I am not alone in this world and would like to talk to somebody who has the same exact problems.

If you like to talk more about it I can send you my email.  Let me know

Your problems are caused by these doctors and nurses not treating you properly. seems like they are waiting for you to throw up blood before they do anything about it, it is very sad that they do not consider you condition serious enough to be treated by ER and they are waiting for it to get worse, you have already had one perforated ulcer, in the UK that would be treat as emergency treatment.
How can they push you out without even looking in your stomach, it makes me really angry and upset, you have to push them, you need investigating and treated, do not let them push you away again.

I agree completely, I was looking into moving to Canada, but the moving expenses would be just as much as paying out of pocket for doctor bills.  I've been to the ER serveral times since that doctors visit and they won't hardly touch me without insurance.....in fact every time I've had to go to ER for my stomach the nurses make me drink this green fluid they call a G.I. cocktail...... I hate it, I feel like I can't breathe and it does nothing for my stomach.... just numbs my throat, then they discharge me..... its so depressing, I feel like there are no humans left that care about the well being of others, my life means nothing to the doctors and nurses that I've seen.

I am very sorry to hear that, there is a very good chance then that these stomach ulcers are still present, i think it is very sad when a country can not look after its residents with health care. I do not know what to say except you really need some medical attention.
You need to go to hospital and get somebody to look into your stomach with a camera these things can become life threatening if left untreated.
You need to find a way of getting this investigated properly, you then need to find a way to get treatment, it makes me really angry that in this day and age in a state like California you can not get proper health care, surely they can not just ignore serious health issues because you do not have money, that is just not right.

well, the treatment for the ulcer was prevacid, but thats like $400 for a month supply....I could not afford that, I live in California and we have social services out here, but the state is so broke that it is next to impossible to get free medical.
I am not sure what I have to be honest, these doctor visits were a year ago or more and I have just been suffering since.

Anxiety attacks brought on by terrible rising feelings from the stomach is normal, when you get fight or flight, and it is very difficult to calm back down and it takes a long time for the body to restart the engine properly again, your stomach shuts down whilst having an attack.I feel for you, the Anxiety is not a nice thing to experience, you have to learn to not panic when that feeling happens and you get the feeling that you something horrible is going to happen to you.
I assume you got treatment for the bleeding ulcer, that is a serious condition, to have black stools as well as a black tongue, what treatment did you get?

Your current symptoms could be a nervous stomach, the fact that blood travelled freely up your esophagus while you slept would suggest that the esophageal sphincter is weak, unless the bleeding started in your esophagus.
Are you sure you do still not have an ulcer?
You really need to get an upper GI endoscopy to find out what is happening.
Do you have a national health service in the US, can you get treatment for free?
I apologise if the above sounds a silly question i am from the UK, but you seriously need to get this checked out.

Well, I know I have anxiety, I get panic attacks, usually when I think I'm going to thow up, although its hard to distiguish if I feel like throwing up because I'm tense or if its something else, but thats where the panic starts.  When I did go to the doctor (granted it was a year ago ...no insurance) they did run test, determinded that I don't have H. Pylori, but that I'm deffinatly bleeding from inside my stomach somewhere (at that point in time I was waking up with a  black tongue, and my stool was very black and tary...I wasn't eating at all).  Now I haven't woken up with a black tongue in a while now but the nausea is SO intense, like right now for instance, its almost unbearable.  I don't take any medication for anything, except an occasional promethazine for the nausea...but not often because I don't have many left.
As far as eating habbits I hardly eat all.....I'm so afraid of throwing up that I just don't put much in my stomach....and when I do its all bland foods, for example I had mac and cheese for dinner lastnight...I rarely eat meat if I can help it, I seem to have a hard time with meat.
The presure in my throat is hard to describe...I mean its just that really, almost like right before you throw up, that pressure you get.  I get it in my chest and my throat, its miserable.
I'm so depressed, its takes so much out of a person to feel this miserable all the time.

Your doctor should be sending you for tests, how can they say you have a bleeding ulcer without investigation?
Are you taking any form of medication?
The nausea and burping are common symptoms of indigestion, indigestion is caused by low stomach acid levels, i used to suffer from this a lot, always feeling dizzy when you stand up.
Do you sleep elevated above your waist level?
Do you eat late at night?
I used to suffer from these morning pains a lot, sleeping with undigested food in your stomach is very bad, if you lay flat your stomach contents can splash up and aggravate your upper stomach wall and esophagus, after being upright for a while and having a drink or breakfast the pain should go away, but you really need to make sure your stomach is empty before sleeping and you really should sleep so gravity can do its work on your stomach contents.
Eat smaller meals more regular, less fatty or sugary foods, and if you are taking any sort of anti acids, acid blockers, digestion remedies, please stop immediately and i promise you that your symptoms will improve.

Please type in"why we need stomach acid" in google and start reading, you will find answers to all you need to know with regard to your stomach problems.
With regards to pressure in your throat, do you feel like you have a lump? Can you give more information on this?

If i had to best guess the pressure in the throat i would put this down to stress and tension, brought on by worrying about your stomach condition, your esophagus becomes tight with tension, does it feel like your throat needs to relax?
