How is he getting on now? Did he get a bag? Hope he managed to do everhthing he's wanted to!!
he has had every test going... but all the psychologists told us is that it wasnt a medical condition... as he has aspergers syndrome we got told that its a 100 times harder to fix, so to speak! All my son wants is acceptance, to be able to lead a normal life.. he has been like this all his life. He has been continually bullied and now he is in college he wants to partake in what his new friends do. His tutors have put in place a self help scheme for him but this is nothing we haven't done before. We have been trying for years to sort this. It breaks my heart watching him suffer. He wont be able to get a job in this condition as he is a safe and health issue. he wont get a gf whilst he has this problem. My son wants to travel the world and experience things that 'normal' teenagers do..
Louise, has he been through all the tests to determine the cause of the constipation and then the incontinence? It's possible that it may not be a problem related to the whole colon; maybe only a section? There are more options than having a colostomy bag.
