I hope you feel better and don't have to spend the first day of the New year in the ER!!  However, if you're still feeling sick, I do think it's  agood idea - this has definitely gone on too long without answers - and since the black stool was before the pepto, that is a bit of a cause for concern.

Please keep me posted on how you're doing.

At this point you're probably pretty dehydrated since you say you're weak and feeling cold - both can be signs of dehydration.

Did the black diarrea start before or after you took the Pepto?  I'm asking because Pepto can cause your stools (and even tongue) to turn black temporarily - however, if your stools were a black color before taking the meds, it could be a sign of blood in the stool, which could be serious.

Since you began with a fever, you probalby either had/have a virus or some food poisoning, which either one really need to run their course, however, because you are showing signs of dehydration, it would probably be a wise idea to go to the ER.  They can give you IV fluids to rehydrate you and perhaps give you better medication that will stop the diarrhea.  They will probably do bloodwork also to see if they can determined exactly what is the cause.

I hope you feel better!
