Sounds reasonable. I got more "gurgling" sounds today, but not as many, and for the most part it's gas. So I'm leaning towards that I'm recovering, and it was probably ibs or just persistent. Either way, I'll take it easy and see how it goes. Thanks again.
good but once your stools come to normal i suggest u that if possible u should contact some homeopathic doctor, he may be able to diagnose wether u are suffer from the same ibs or not, i my self is taking medicines from a h. d.
Thanks for the advice. Initially I was told it was probably bacteria. I've been eating better (as you said, and was directed), and I feel like I'm getting better.
The doctor the second time around said that the stool samples may be needed, but he thought in his opinion that I was recovering from the previous attack. I consulted my parents as well, who believe that because I was ill so long, that the healing would naturally take longer.
After my last loose stoole yesterday, it actually got more solid than the first attack, so I think it'll be getting better. I took Immodium once, as the doc said that it would be ok. (I didn't take any more than 1 dose).
to check wether u are suffered from ibs steps are simple for some time take soluble fiber such as potato, rice, bread, avoid foods that is reach in fat such as meat, sugar products and dairy products all together. if this improve your condition than may be it is ibs.
Hi Gregory - Boron gave you great advice, if in fact you do/did have C Diff. Its quite common for it to come back after one round of Flagyl. If tests come back positive ask doc to "taper" next round instead of going off cold turkey - lotta folks are getting better results by doing that. Best of luck.
i think it may be a symtom of ibs if along with this problem you have cramps in your lower abdomen and alternative constipation and diarea.
Also explicitly ask for a stool test for Clostridium difficile bacterium.
It sounds as parasite (giardia, entameba...) or bacterial infection. Stool test for bacteria and parasites was done? If not, it should be.
