Thank you for the info. I took Zofran for a few weeks before stopping it since it didn't work. I've been sick now for a little over six weeks. For the first three I had severe coughing and difficulty breathing along with the nausea and burning. I'm down to the nausea and occasional burning now. The nausea is the worst. I just had my husband get me some Pepto Bismal, but I'm concerned about the sodium in it. I hadn't heard of the FODMAP diet so I'll check into that, and I hadn't given any thought to acupuncture but will look into that also. Thank you again for your suggestions and sharing.
Boy, this nausea subject comes up a lot!! So many GI issues that cause nausea. I deal with it too.
Gluten free cereal with Lactaid milk and maybe 1/2 a banana seem to be ok.
I cannot take Reglan or Phenergan or Compazine, which are often prescribed. Zofran helps some but doesn't help me so much and Tigan does little for me either.
What helps me the most is Pepto Bismol and drinking ginger and honey in water and acupuncture, suggested by a doctor at Stanford.
I also have problems with bloating and have lost 10 lbs lately.
What you might do is look up the FODMAP diet and try to follow that.
