Thanks for your help you told me more than the doctor.
I know of no correlation between the two, maybe they are using this for leverage to get you to have your colonoscopy, which you NEED to do regardless. Not right for them to do this, but have it done for your peace of mind as well. It's a big nothing and takes so little time. You need to decrease the amount of fat in your diet which helps your liver, and this should have been told to you 2 years ago. Diet and exercise is needed to help reverse the amount of fat in the liver. Fat in the diet is a problem and they know that carbs are the biggest culprit and by you cutting down on carbs, you reduce the fat and will lose weight, which will help the liver. I think I would get a second opinion, it's not ethical how they are approaching this, and you can have all your previous test results transferred to the new doctor. It took 4 doctors to properly diagnose my son, so if you're not happy with your treatment, find another doctor. Take care and get your colonoscopy!!!
