grastric cancer

I had breast cancer 5 years ago.Now after an endoscopy and colonoscopy he doctor discovery cancer cells behind the molecules of my stomach and rectum. There are parts with nothing but  they are there at these sites.
I made 2pet scans and 2 cat scans and they were negative. My blood is perfect and I had this terrible result from biopsy. They say that the cells are hiden and do not appear at the scans.I wil start chemo this week .
Is that normal? how common something like this happens?Did you had cases like that?
I don't feel tired, I wok, exercise etc The only thing was the ca15-3 altered a little bit but the blood is normal and good.
Do I suppose repeat the biopsy or it is not necessary?I will not have surgery because there are no tumors yet.Only cells spreaded. Is that worse then tumors?Would be better if I had to surgery and take somethig? You think the chemo can work well? Thanks so much and I appreciate your help about my doubts.

Hi CalGal
Thanks so much for your opinion. It was very nice to give me a new view of the problem.I face the problem very  strongly and corageous but some times we get down as the music - as strong you are more tender you go.But any way my faith in God is supporting me and  my family .I am surounded by love and that brings me energy and will to fight.
Thanks again .Your opinion open to me a new horizon.

Bel, when cancer cells are 'on the move' they can show up as dispersed cells long before they end up in a single place and start to grow other cancer cells that form a tumor. So it's possible that they've managed to catch the cellular movement long before a tumor would be found on either a PET or CT scan. At this point, if there's no tumor to remove, there's no surgery that's possible. Your doc will have to tell you about the pro's and con's of the chemo and how well the chemo will work.

Sorry to hear of your problems.  I would say that you just need to do what the oncologists suggest.

Best of luck and God Speed.
