i need help! ive tried everything. any suggestions?

I've had stomach pains for one year now and they don't seem to be getting any better. I've had a colonoscopy, endoscopy, multiple x-rays and ct scans, blood tests, stool tests, allergy tests, breath tests, stomach emptying test, ultrasound, and one where i can't remember the name of it but i drank white chalky liquid and they watched my stomach and how the liquid passed through it to look for abdominal artery constriction and nothing was found on any of these tests. I've tried an ibs diet, liquid diets, giving up dairy and wheat, flagyll, amitiza, prednisone, cyproheptadine, zoloft, bentyl, and right now I'm on lexapro for what doctors presume is a seratonin imbalance in my stomach (because my twin has OCD they thought this might be related seeing as how she had a seratonin imbalance in her brain). My symptoms are abdominal pain that is usually under the left rib but sometimes under the right or just complete upper in general and sometimes it spreads to my lower stomach and back, weight loss, nausea, dizziness, constipation, pale stool, bloating, loss of appetite, and intolerance to cold. I am so desperate for an answer because i feel like the lexapro will not work. I have been taking it for almost a month now and at first i believed i was getting better but now Im back feeling miserable. The pain is so debilitating and makes me have to miss so much school and other things. i really need help.

no sadly it didnt. the only reason i think its not constipation that is causing me pain is when i went in for my colonoscopy/endoscopy the doctors had me on a clean out the day before and when they ran the tests they said i was completely cleaned out and yet i was still in a great amount of pain.

You might have never been fully cleaned out though.  Did the pain get at all better when you did these things though?

well i dont think constipation is my problem because even when i had enemas and was on prescription laxatives the pain did not go away.

I If you are currently constipated then you need to be doing something daily about it.  Have you tried increasing your fiber intake?  If not you might need to be taking a daily laxative.  You might have never been fully cleaned out which could be causing your pain.

i just take two tablespoons as needed. the problem is my parents are so convinced that the lexapro will work that they have stopped trying any more tests. granted I have had many tests but there are still some and zoloft didnt work and so far the lexapro isnt either. i was thinking maybe i need a HIDA scan? im not satisfied with the "answer" of treating my pain with lexapro and i can feel that there is something wrong with my stomach. the times that ive been to the ER have all resulted with them telling me that my colon was very very backed up with stool but once they gave me laxatives to clean my out i only felt slightly better.

I have bad constipation and for it I have to take amitiza, ducolax, and milk of magnesia.  What does are you currently on for milk of magnesia?  A sitsmarker test is where you swallow a pill and then get x-rays every day to see where the pill is every day to see how long it takes for things to go through your system.

well my doctor put me on a refeeding diet where i had to eat lots of fat and calories. that helped me go to the bathroom a little bit but i still get constipation so i take milk of magnesia. it doesnt help too much but ive tired miralax and it didnt work at all and neither did ametiza. i don't think ive had a sitsmarker test. what is that? ive had a stool test but everything came back negative. ive also had urine tests. im not sure if this symptom is related but whenever i drink anything besides wine i throw it up. i dont drink too often but whenever i do i get this seasick feeling and then throw up

I feel for you. I'm going through alot of the same stuff and it's only my second month of it and I'm already just breaking down from pain and lack of health professional support. Hang in there and don't let up on your doctors.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  What medications are you currently on, specifically for the constipation?  Also have you had a sitsmarker test?  Have you had stool testing done?
