illeocecal valve

I have a chronic constipation issue because of my illeocecal valve always getting stuck shut.  Even massaging it (sometimes so long and hard that it hurts), it STILL won't open.  I have done colonics on myself for relief, but cannot imagine this to be my only solution into old age.
It's amazing to me that the colonic, although taking a total hour to get results, will eventually open the valve.
I am experiencing terrible dry skin, toxic headaches, and stress to my organs because of my waste being stuck in my small intestine for days upon days.
I drink 60--80 oz. of water and/or low sugar juices diluted with water to combat the dry skin and to get things going, but to no avail.  Drugs prescribed and over the counter have not helped the valve being stuck shut, only helped in making the stool softer for an easier colonic.
What can be done?  I have had a Gasroenterologist tell me I do not need my illeocecal valve, is this true?
Sounds like a solution to me, but will I have the exact opposite problem w/uncontrollable stools?
Please help me find a solution.  I am 59 yrs. old and have been struggling with this problem most of my life.

I have a friend who has the same problem.  She says that drinking hot water helps her.  Not tea, but hot water.

Good luck!
