Few thoughts:
1. Ask a doctor, if Giardia was CONFIRMED (with biopsy you said they made, or with other test), or this was just his opinion. Also ask him what to do with antibiotic treatment. Antibiotics are only for infection, not just for any diarrhea.
2. For colonoscopy you'll need another cleansing, doctor will tell you how.
3. Colonoscopy will not necessary found Crohn's, even if it is there - because Crohn's disease is sometimes only in small intestine.
no the doc started me of with flagyl but i couldnt resist it...
and then he started saying that maybe i had chrons witch is what confuses me if he diagnosed me with giardia why he thinks now its chrons but on thursday im havin an upper gi so we will determine if its chrons or not ..
and i started the colon cleanse just to help my system out..
Yes, I did.
I think, if your diagnosis of Giardia was confirmed, than also the healing of Giardia has to be confirmed with the stool test or maybe even with another endoscopy, the doctor should tell.
It was not clear for me, did you started with mebendazole by doctor's prescription or without him knowing it. It's only a doctor who can decide about the antibiotic dosage and time frame.
Why you've started with colon cleanse?
did u even read what i wrote??
Can your doctor CONFIRM, that you have Giardia? There is a stool test for Giardia, did you have that test? I mean, you have to solve this, before thinking about other diagnoses.
I hope you have spoken with a doctor about mebendazole (?). Do not ever try to cure yourself with antibiotics by your own.
