well is okay again...like i said so goes through spells of this gastroparesis..but we r still trying to go through the clinic..thank u for ur concern   still lokking for optiions

Sorry if I miscommunicated.  I don't have gastroparesis and I've never been on reglan, I've just learned this stuff from other digestive problems.  I'm surprised you were able to get an appointment at the mayo clinic so quickly, if she is going to get a stomach pacemaker make sure you have a qualified doctor so that doesn't cause other problems.  I'm pretty sure it is more than 50/50 for it working.  If she is doing so horrible that she is unable to eat, the doctor might feed her through an IV.  Good luck.

her gastro is trying to send her to shands hospital to get a pace maker for stomach..i also called the mayo clinic n have app for her in april..have u only taken the reglen..n does it help u

at one time they gave me reglan it really did not help and my doc was aware of side effects,,quit perscribing it ..does it hel p

Have you tried using a medicine like Reglan?

yes i do mean gastroparesis..yes i do..my girl is having such a hard time she has lost aprox 15 lbs. in three weeks this time around..she goes through spells for the last 5 or six yrs.they r now talking about  a stimulator, but says it take time to get it approved..what to do in mean time..how does one cope..she is miserable. the one doctor says it is a fifty fifty chance of it even working

a fast intestine? lol~~:)!!!  seriously, i have never heard of a lazy stomach before. is it one that digests slower than normal?  in that case I have a speedie stomach!  mine goes right through- doesn't slow down at all!
