liver, gallbladder?

Hi, could anyone tell me what clay colored stools and throwing up yellow bile after drinking alot of alcohol means? I also have burps that have a sulpher/aspirin taste to them. I've had an ultra sound, CT scan, CBC telling me my liver and gallbladder were ok, but I'm concerned that they aren't. Thank you.

Clay or very, very light colored stools - verging on white? - suggests that you are not release bile to mix with the food that's coming through your digestive system. The bile is the substance that gives the stool it's characteristic brown color. The yellow-green pigmentation in the bile is acted on by enzymes and slowly turns brown. Lack of bile = light colored stools.

If this only happens when you're drinking, it might be a very good idea to abstain from ingestion of alcohol in the first place.

I would not say I am an alcoholic, but I have drank fairly heavily on the weekends for 10 years or so. Like I said, I have pretty much given it up, this was the first time I've had any alcohol in 3 or 4 months. It has happened a few times spontaneously, where I couldn't really think of anything that would have caused it, it was a sharp right side abdominal pain with dark urine. But I always have flank pain, right side abdominal pain, my eyes are darker and bloodshot a lot of the time. I have other symptoms also. I've seen a few different doctors, they run CBC'S, kidney tests, urine tests  etc. and tell me I'm fine. Thanks again for your time.

Dark urine could be the result of moving bilirubin into the blood stream and it's then filtered into the urine. That symptom may be correlated with the clay-colored stools. I'd really suggest you consult with another doc to check out the status of your liver, gallbladder and pancreas. It's only my opinion, but what you're experiencing really does call for more investigation. If your urine is still dark on Monday, go to your doc and ask him/her to do a quick 'dip stick' test and look at the results for the level of bilirubin - they should be able to do that quickly in the office or at a nearby lab. If your liver and pancreatic enzyme levels haven't been checked lately, make sure that's done.

Jsull, I don't know if you have a history of alcohol intake, but I'd really like to suggest you abstain from any alcohol intake in the near future until you can figure out what's going on.

Under what circumstances - other than alcohol intake - does this occur?

Thank you for the response. This happens at other times as well, but it's very bad when I drink alcohol. Yesterday was the first time I drank in months, mainly to see what would happen. I also have dark urine and stomach pain. The stools are generally pale yellowish but today they were a grey color which has happened a few times before. I'm concerned I have liver or gallbladder damage or something similar. The doctors told me I'm fine but I don't know if they've run all the appropriate tests. I get other symptoms also, something is very wrong with me.
