losing fast

I am losing large amounts of weight very quickly I cant keep anything including most liquids down for over a month now. I was not big to begin with about 130 and currently almost down to 100.suffered for years with an eating disorder and it resurfaced recently worse than ever. was hospitalized with vomiting blood recently and after released I have no choice but to vomit after every little sip or bite of anything because even if I wamted to keep it down my body forces it out. What is causing the involuntary vomiting?

You said in your first post that your eating disorder resurfaced recently worse than ever.  I worry that your eating disorder has now caused you to vomit without you even trying to vomit anymore.  I also worry that you are not seeking medical advice because even though you don't want to be sick, you like being at a lower weight.  Whether or not what I said is true, you need to see a doctor ASAP.  I would say that you need another endoscopy, a lot of blood work, a gastric emptying scan, and maybe a temporary NG or NJ feeding tube.

Steelers,
I've told you to go see your doc in every single post I have made to you, and yet you say nothing about doing to a doc.  So, I will say nothing until you go see your doc.  If you went and he didn't offer any solution, go to another doc.  YOU MUST SEE A DOC.  I've given you all the advice I can, and unless you see a doc, and get an anti-emetic drug, you will NOT get better.

Steelers,
Well then, you need an anti-emetic medicine very soon, it causes the regurgitation muscles to stop, and that way you can begin drinking liquids, then add soft foods, then regular food.  If you don't get the medicine, since simple foods are still bothering you, then you will keep throwing up, which could make you start vomiting blood again.  I don't know why the hospital only gave you an antacid when the problem they diagnosed is a tear in the part of the stomach where the esophagus joins to it, which is caused by vomiting from usually an eating disorder, and to stop vomiting you have to take an anti-emetic, not an antacid.  And if you throw up too much, it can injure the digestive tract there all over again.  It needs time to heal.  So, please, see your doc about an anti-emetic and whatever else he thinks will prevent vomiting.  You mentioned broth, that it didn't agree with you, but if it actually goes down and stays there, but just makes you nauseated, then keep consuming that until you get in to see the doc.

i have tried everything. even just licking a chip comes right out. sounds gross but I have tried to suck on pickles too and hard candies and out they come. even freezer pops. I think my stomach size has diminished from not eating so after a few sips of something and its past its capacity. broth doesnt even agree with me. I used to drink coffee all day long and it takes me all day to drink just one cup. and it still upsets my stomach.

I understand now, I can see how your eating disorder may have been at the root of this.  They should have given you an antinausea type medicine and other stuff to keep that part of your esophogus and tummy settled.  Antacid won't do it.  I think you should visit your regular doc as a squeeze-in emergency appointment and ask for a prescription for an anti-emetic drug, which will prevent you from needing to vomit.  In the meantime, you should really not be eating food, instead try liquids for a few days, like soups, juices, milk, and then go to soft food diet like mashed potatoes, pudding, creme of wheat, and if all that stays down, you can slowly add in the good stuff.  But getting that drug is important, I do believe, so the vomiting will stop.

when I went to the hospital they did a scope and said it was just a mallory weiss tear and prescribed an antacid which did not help of course.  from not being able to eat I have now developed a salty taste in my mouth from being dehydrated but I am taking potassium since I constantly vomit. im sick of being sick

If I understand you correctly, you were vomiting blood at the hospital, but you are only vomiting now without the blood.  But I think since this new round of vomiting was preceded by a bout with blood coming up, then hon, something is very wrong with your digestive tract for you to have been vomiting blood, probably your stomach has an ulcer in it, or could be you have an uncontrollable urge to vomit because the muscles in the digestive tract have reversed themselves somehow and repeated vomiting irritation caused blood, or lots of even scarier things can do this.  You must go back and see the doctor promptly!

I don't know what the hospital told you.  But I do not think this can be assigned to your eating disorder at all.  I think this is something far different.  The blood at your hospital stay is the clue, you see.  I mean, if they told you why you vomited blood and they fixed the blood part, it still doesn't explain why you keep vomiting, and I assure you, if you keep doing it, blood will be vomited right back up all over again eventually.  You cannot vomit up blood and say that is an eating disorder.  Blood is always a sign of something very wrong with your digestive tract, even if the hospital managed to get it to stop temporarily.

Now, when you go see your doc, you remind him about how you were recently hospitalized because you were vomiting up blood.  I hope you will try to get in to see him as soon as possible during the first of the week, ask for an emergency squeeze-in appointment.  Now, if this vomiting gets much worse, like if it continues nonstop for another three days, go right on down to the ER and get back in that hospital again.

In the meantime, mashed potatoes is something I can almost always eat without fail, the real kind with cooked potatoes and milk, mash them up, put lots of butter, salt and pepper.  You can also look in the drugstore for an anti-emetic, which is something that will prevent a person from having the sensation of vomiting, to kind of tide you over.   And consider going to the anorexia forum/ eating disorder forum and seeing what those people say about a situation similar to yours, they may have some better insight than us gastro people and can tell you what might be causing this.  But your doc is really where to begin your investigations, just as soon as you can get in to see him.
