mass in colon

Have constant diarhea 24.7.  No weight loss.  Recently has 3 or more polyps removed for a second time. Just found out surgeon also fould a very large mass in lower colon and just left it and did not tell me about it my regular doctor did.  Why would he have not removed this mass?  My usual doctor didn't have a clue why not.
I am practically incontinent at this time.  I am a 69 year old malemwith diabetes and am abese.  Have perephial artery disease.  Have been told heart is enlarged and told it isn't.  Hace been told liver is enlarged.
Both times the polyps removed were found to be benign.  But what about the large mass he left?
Why?

Your Doctor should have contacted the Surgeon or referred you back to him.  I am surprised the Surgeon didn't advise your Doc. what the mass is?

I wouldn't delay contacting either the Surgeon or if Doctor again.  I'ts absurd to leave you with this question hanging over you.   Sometimes we have to be strong to get things sorted.

Good Luck, let us know how you get on.

Not sure why a surgeon was removing the polyps.  Was it your gastroenterologist?  Was this a conoloscopy?  If so, they cannot remove a mass.  This would need to be done, usually bowel resection, by a surgeon and preferrably a bariatric surgeon.

Make an appointment with the dr who removed the polyps and discuss with him what he saw and what needs to be done.
