no bowel movement 12 days after gastric bypass

Hi , i had gastric bypass surgery 12 days ago, im feeling fine and have been losing weight, the only real concern i
have is that i havn't opened my bowels since before surgery, which was 12 days ago, is this normal ?? im eating soup, yogart and a little bit of mash ,also trying to drink as much as possible and walking alot,  i am also taking laxolose morning and evening , any ideas, should i go back to the surgeon or is this normal

I am on my 6 days without having one and it is driving me crazy lol. if you find out anything let me know i am calling my surgeon in the morning.

thanks for the reply, i was starting to wonder if i was all alone on here x
I will get in touch with my doctor tomorrow and post an up date

You should check back with your doctor. It's not typical to go that long after surgery without a bowel movement even on decreased amounts of food.
