pain below right rib cage

I have been having pain (ascending colon) for the past month below my right rib cage (extream right) , and the feeling tightness subsides when bed resting. Please advice what it could be & what should be done.

You may be right about gallstones as my doctor had given me medicine for gallstone two year's back. Also the pain is not shifting. It remains at the same spot.

Any more details? Have you had bowel issues? Diet? Have you had anything done like having your gallbladder removed recently? Does it get better or worse after certain foods? These symptoms seem similar to gallbladder issues or any other number of disorders.

I'd talk to your family doc these symptoms and possibly about an ultrasound of your major organs - liver, gallbladder, pancreas etc...just to check for gallstones etc.
