pain in left side

hi every thing i have read is from 2003 or 2004 i am having the pain in left side under rib cage and have had just about all tests done they say that after i started taking the prilosic the pain should of went away it didnt he had gave me some hydros for the pain awile back and they helped a little bit so i think they think im drug seeking wich im not so ill just keep going back till they figure it out and take ibprofen for pain wich makes it worst sometimes but i dont want them thinking im drug seeking i just want the pain to go away its moved up under my rib cage to my left arm pit and my lower back and side now it does fell better when i go to sleep and when i wake up its gone for about 30 mins till it comes back any one knows what it is email me please?

In rare occasions, gallbladder pain may be felt on the left side.

Ultrasound may or may not show gallbladder disease, more reliable test for gallbladder is a HIDA scan.

i think its my gallbladder the er doc said my docs on the right track with the gallbladder my doc says that the gallbladder can cause weird stuff like im having my medical history had nothing to do with pain in left side so if the ultra sound comes back not my gallbladder i dont know? it still hurts and i cant get my doc to go any faster i think im going crazy i make sure i dont ask for any thing for the pain because they think im drug seeking because they cant find any thing wrong with me im getting able to deal with the pain with ibprohen at first it didnt do anything now it pacifys it i can hear throbing in my left ear when it hurts the worst my doc didnt know what to think of that when i told him

did i scare u away?the doc is havivg trouble schuelding my ultra sound i dont know why. ant hoot the pain is there still im very bloated in the upper stomach still and have fatty cyst all over my stomach area thats what the er doc said because i showed the lumps i have he said they most likelly are fatty cyst i wonder if thats whats hurting?maybe one on a nerve?

well i had a chest xray it showed nothin i was in a car accident saturday totaled my mini van they took all kind of xrays saw nothing maybe ultra sound will show something

You have to trust the doc. Just remember, you have to do that chest x-ray.

the doc was supose to call with appt today but didnt so i guess ill call him .well oh well i think im going to change doctors my kids doctor is way closer( family doctor) i just didnt want to go there in febuary because she was my moms doctor too and my mom just passed away january 1st from breast cancer and i was mad that they didnt catch it soon enough they knew her medical history kidney and breast removed from cancer then a lump showed up on her back they treated as a pulled muscle and the breast cancer travled though the blood in to her bones, brain and lungs where she died after fighting it for a year i moved her out of her house to my house she was living with my little sisters one was 18 the other 22 so they didnt need to go though what i did i handled it better i think any ways it was the hardest thing i have ever had to do sorry for all that mothers day was really hard for me and ive been thinking about her alot but when my husband insurnce kicked in, i was not wanting to even step in there so i went to this doc because he was close and my hmo mean while my kids got sick and i went back since they always get me in that day to take care of the kids and found out that the doc that treated my mom is gone they have a new doc i like very much my husband thinks i should just go back but changing docs now might mess things up maybe? or better?  sorry so long i feel better venting that all out hope i didnt bore you

Then, I really think it's connected to pleura - lung membrane. You need chest x-ray.

its in chest and right under left rib cage it started in my upper left side right under my ribs thats why my doc thought it was intestional now it hurts all the way up to my left arm like someone socked me in my left breast and its sore. where the sharp pain is right under my ribs my breast arent sore just mt chest under them

Your pain on the left is in the chest or in abdomen? I'm not sure if I understand you.

well i went to the docs today he preceded to order the same test that i had done with the scope i said i already did that he says well i dont have the results though i say well your nurse said you had them last week he didnt remember allready ordering the last test and i think he barely remembered me....ive beenseening him since febuary as my reg doctor the pain started in about the end of march he did give me a new med for my blood surgar    glimpride   ? anyways after he finally got the results he says  there is nothing worng with my stomach at all i can stop taking the prilosic raises his hands in the air and says i dont know whats wrong with you!!! i of course start crying because all i want is to be fixed and im basically at a dead end so he says well i think the next step is to refer you to a surgen because they can run more test to find out what is wrong i said ok then he asked if i had a surgen i would like to go to i said i dont have one i use regular lol then he started asking my medical history if i still had my gallballder i said yes well theres one more avenue to go down so i have appt monday for ultrsound for my gallbladder look for stones if nothing there a test to see if its working proper if not that to the surgens i feel like im going crazie!!!!!

i go back to my docs today i havent seen him since i had my gastrophy the camera down to look in my stomach which they didnt see any thing but took a biopsy it came back beign my spelling sucks by the way i try. my doc went on vac for a week his nurse told me i shouldnt be hurting after taking the prilosic i told her i was and she acted like i was lying it made it better now i only have attacks sometimes all day it hurts and if i dont eat at all it hurts real bad it hurts the more i sit it feels better when i stand or lay down  i know when i was on the ventalator with the measles they nicked my lung going in and it hurt really bad afterward for a week and i have had the measles vaccination 3 times when i was young and after i had the measles and when i had my last kid about five years ago they did blood work and said i still could get the measles so gave me another shoot i bet if they tested me again they would say i still could get the measles lol

Would you say that the pain changes with moving your upper body or with breathing or coughing?

It's possible you have some complication of that measles. I had chickenpox complicated with pneumonia at 3, and then I had spontaneus pneumothorax at 23.

Somebody has listened your lung? Beside, I think you'd need an x-ray of the thorax. It can be related to pleura - lung membrane.

im 36 yr women pain is almost center and it fells like an ache from the bottom of the rib cage up to my left arm but a sharp pain right under rib cage my medical history has really nothing ever hurt there before i have had the measles and almost died when i was eighteen high fever 106.7 temp with pnemona had to be put on ventlater  then had emergency surgry when i was about 30 my right tube and overie twisted by it self and hemraged so they had to remove it that about all oh and im a diabetic have been type 2 for about 8 years im about 30 pounds over weight

There's a spleen on the left side under the rib cage, and they are lymph nodes in armpits.

There may be infectious mononucleosis, other infections, lymphoma...

Would you say some medical history,  travels in 2003 (?)
