Bless your heart, S90, and I think it is funny and amusing that you were all worked up about pain pills, when it was just digestive type help pills!  Oh, my friend, this is known as the "human condition."  We are but children in God's eyes, we know nothing.  And this is the beauty of forums like these.  You can reach out and talk to people who have been thru the same misery as you are experience, and they will hold your hand and help you along as you suffer, and can cheer you when you finally get well.  I am relieved your fissure is healed and you have no more pain, and hopefully now you can just go right on out there in life and experience it worry-free from all these wild health issues!

This medication increases movement through the digestive system. It is used to treat symptoms of stomach disorders. It may also be used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by certain medications.

I'm glad you are feeling no pain now.  Therefore no need to take the pain meds!  Smile.  I cannot believe that now you have very little pain, you are thinking of taking them.  So, my last and final advice is you don't need the pain killers anymore.  The whole goal of this exercise was to get you comfortable.  And since you are, I am glad for you, and I think you will be fine now.  GG

okk today i am giving u some good news.I haven't still take any pills but today during bowel movement I felt no pain,a little mild spicy sensation when the first part was coming from inside but then everything went ok and I think the pain will be gone fully in 2-3 days of time.I really lyk the dialator a lot.It is really strenghtening my muscle,my whole anal part was fully recovered after starting the use of dialator(I guess as it was producing no pain)but slight was left which is quite upper and I was unable to send the dialator that up in fear if use the lidocaine jelly much it will give me side effects but nowdays I am using it properly and it is now able to touch that part and gives me a relaxation that it's really ok.:):):)

Well, if you develop a lot of chaffing on your surgical site or rear end, there is nothing wrong with at least putting a little lotion on the area, with KY being better... it's very mild, water-soluble so comes off each time you bathe.  It's just to ease painful bowel movements, that's all.  But it's okay to just tough it out, I guess.  Do me a favor, just ONE DAY at least one to three hours before you expect a bowel movement, take one pain pill, and see if it helps.  You drink enough water to counteract it and you need the relief and relaxation it will give you.  Did you call the doc and tell him the incision was bleeding again?  You might want to, the nurses may have a tip or two.  Best wishes for your quick recovery, and I'm glad you are following some of the ideas I had suggested.  GG

Really thank u so much for answering,it's really very sweet of u and it's nt lyk that I haven't tried any of ur tips-1)I had tied my tummy strongly with my towel for one minute for 2-3 times today.
2)I am thinking about ky jelly as u suggested but last time when I asked my doc about ointment,he said not needed. So I am waiting for 10 october which is my next date.I will ask him then and if he says yes...
3)I am taking laxatives
4)asked my aunt about pain tablets who had an anal fissure operation couple of years ago.She said not needed as the pain stays only for 1 minute, and that it may damage the kidney.
5)I am trying my best.I am taking lots of fibres and 8 glass water.
and also some other things-
6)I am using anal dialator with 2%lidocaine jelly which helps me a lot.

Yes, indigestion and tears in sensitive tissues and all the terrible symptoms you have are indeed very difficult to handle.  I hope you will try some of the tips I gave you, about putting lubricant on your rear every day after bathing, and drinking extra water, and introducing some more fiber to your diet, and exercising regularly.  To release gas AND simultaneously reduce acidity, an ordinary Alka Seltzer Original will help you a lot.  If you are constipated, the diet and lifestyle changes I've offered before will help you.

The thing that is pushing you over the edge is the painful fissure surgery, and now it's bleeding again.  You must avoid constipation at all costs, and while my suggestions about diet would help you, apparently you also need the laxatives you are taking, which is perfectly fine to take those, because right now you need that fissure to heal up.  I hope the doc gave you some antiseptic or antibiotic ointment to put on the surgical site.  I think you should go back and see the doc if he did not, so he can also check the incision again and perhaps give you a healing ointment, and maybe add a butterfly type bandaid that acts like stitches, so it will stop breaking open.

I am not sure if you have tried any of my tips, but I really think if you do, you will do better.  Things are going to take a while to settle down with your digestion and your fissure healing.  It's in a tough place to heal, and I'm sure it must hurt.  One GOOD thing for the digestive tract in general, especially if you break down and go ahead and take some pain pills periodically, is to drink Acidophilus milk or Activia yogurt from the grocery store, to get "probiotics" in you, which is "good bacteria" to help break down waste, and you can also get from the health food store in pill form.  But that alone will not do the trick.  You must eat right, get enough water, and exercise.  I gave you some fiber foods to slowly introduce to meals.  Try a lotion or plain KY jelly stuff on your behind to help with chaffing and pain, and get your doc to recheck your incision and respond a little more proactively to your very annoying symptoms.  But even tho pain pills can cause other digestive issues, don't you want SOME relief for just a couple days, so you won't have a nervous breakdown?  Go ahead, it's okay, that's why the doc gave them to you, because he knew this situation would be very hard for you.

I sent up a prayer, but God helps those who help themselves, son.  GG

As for tummy exercises, your doc should have told you what to do for that, or he should have referred you to physical therapy.  But in any case, basically the bowels move better when the tummy muscles are strong.  There are a couple easy things you cn do to strenghten them:  One is to go for a nice long walk around your neighborhood nearly every day.  Two is to hold in your tummy real tight for maybe a minute, do this several times daily.

I am glad your pain is getting better, which means the fissure operation is working for you.  I myself am all for pain medications, there is no need to suffer if you don't have to.  Any kind of operation to the sensitive tissues where waste comes out is going to hurt.  Since the doc rechecked you earlier this month, he must be satisfied with the surgery.  I had suggested in my first post that you take the pain medicine perhaps once a week, so you can have at least one bowel movement that doesn't hurt, and yet not wind up constipated.  The reasoning behind once a week is that sometimes pain drugs can constipate a person, which when that hardened dry stuff comes out, it can really hurt.  HOWEVER, you CAN and probably should take them as prescribed, which I assume is daily, as long as you drink plenty of water (aim for six glasses), exercise regularly, and slowly introduce fiber foods, which I told you a selection of those foods in my first post.  You should also use a lubricant back there to ease the passage of waste, I told you about what kind in my first post.

The reason the doctor gave you pain medicines is so you won't have pain, it's really that simple.  It will not make one bit of difference as to the healing of your fissure operation.  Pain medicines are to give you relief from your definite discomfort when you have a bowel movement whilst trying to heal up from the fissure operation.  I personally would take the pain pills as prescribed, but since you had asked whether you should take them, I gave you some ideas about coping with any side effects.

But I cannot understand why you wouldn't take them, except sometimes those pills can constipate a person (but which I gve you a few ideas to counteract that, including just taking the pills once a week so you'll have at least one pain-free bowel movement, but at the same time, I actually think you can handle daily pain pills.  It was just a suggestion among several to help you with any side effects from pain drugs).

Do not be afraid to take pain pills.  You have said yourself your fissure operation site hurts you.  So, you need them.  And if you wind up a little constipated, just do some of the suggestions I've already given you about diet, water, and regular exercise.  This is about all I have to say about this issue.  I hope it has helped you understand your situation better.

I had visited him 12 september,he said I am okay, and I think the pain is decreasing day by day,but during checking I almost cried in pain may be that's why he suggested me the tablets and he suggested that not for weeks for one month! and my question is do the pain tablets has any link with the fissure recovery and there is still pain bt tolerable.

Pain medications CAN tend to constipate some people, and of course that kind of waste when it passes by a sensitive fissure will hurt like mad.  I think if you took them once a week, in time for your normal bowel movement, like on a weekend, would be less constipating and at least for that one time each week it wouldn't hurt so bad.

BUT what must happen is, to help soften your waste, drink about six glasses of water daily and slowly introduce a little more fiber into your meals, like oat cereal, whole wheat bread, fresh or frozen cooked vegies, fruit as a snack, and salads.  AND to make passing waste more comfortable, get some sort of lubricant, the very best is plain KY jelly in the blue and white tube (NOT the flavored kinds), put it on anytime you want to, especially when you feel the urge to go, slather a bunch on there with a damp tissue, and your waste won't hurt so much when it passes by your fissure.  You can also apply it every time after you bathe, it will last practically all day and in general protect chaffing on that fissure.

I personally think you should also consider going back to the physician who did your operation, and let him recheck you, to make sure the surgery is holding up well.  I have heard of fissures being rather hard to fix.  You could also ask him if some sort of medicated ointment would help your fissure surgery heal a little better than it apparently has.  Hope this helps you.
