If this is yeast, one thing that is GREAT to do is to eat these with your meals.  They are called,  "raw cultured vegetables."  They are full of probiotics, and they help digest your food.  You just eat like 1/4 cup with each meal.  You can put them on blue corn chips and eat them as a snack too.  The best brand I know of is "Rejuvenative Foods."  If your health food store doesn't carry them, they can usually order them for you. I like the flavor, "Vegi-Delite - Zing Salad"  Make sure it's salt-free cause I think they make both.  Eating these, taking the probiotic, avoiding foods that feed yeast, all of this just may take care of your problem.  And remember, the only sweetener you can eat is Stevia.  ( I like NOW brand).  Use it to sweeten your plain yogurt (and a little vanilla too), herbal tea, whatever.  But no other sweetener or sweets. You can't even have fruit.  And have that Heidelberg test because people with yeast almost always have problems with their stomach acid.  I sure hope this is it.  That red wine is a flag.  Best of luck to you...Gina :)

I'm "mifegr"  I kept trying to post a comment to you and this thing wouldn't take it.  I had to get a new name..Anyway........

If red wine makes your problems worse, it's probably yeast.  Fermented foods and sugar will ferment in a digestive system that has yeast.  I would do this...get these 2 little books that are easy to read..Both are by Dr. Don Colbert.  "The Bible Cure for Candida and Yeast Infections" and "The Bible Cure - recipes for overcoming candida." You can probably get them on his web site.  While your on this diet, take a probiotic called, Primal Defense Ultra by Garden of Life.  Get the capsules.  And when and if you get a gassy stomach, try taking the activated charcoal.  But if the charcoal works, you still have to get rid of that yeast because if you don't it WILL get worse.  If these things don't help, or if they help but not enough, go see a holistic dr.  Have him check you for yeast and also do a Heidelberg Gastrogram test.  By the way, if you change your diet and take the probiotic and start feeling better, you'll know it's yeast.  Then get the book, The Body Ecology Diet by Donna Gates.  It's even stricter than those other 2 I mentioned but it will help.  Just ingore the chapter on eating for your blood type.  That's a theory that doesn't work.  Good luck!

Thanks, I will try this. Maybe at least I can start to go out again. I don't go anywhere except in the morning.  Maybe you can give me a clue as to why this started so suddenly. I've read a little thinking maybe it is a food allergy. But I don't think this is it. For some reason I think my bacteria in my intestines changed. Red wine is horrible!!! I drank this for years and now I can't have any or if I do I have to make sure that I am alone because of the gas it causes (bad odor). It just seems everything I read tells me to change my diet, but I guess I'm frustrated because then I would have to stop most veggies and fruits, alcohol, soy, wheat etc... which is hard especially when your trying to lose weight.

I'm a nutritionist.  Not a nurse.  However, if I were you I would get a test done called a Heidelberg Gastrogram (google this).  I would also try taking Activated Charcoal capsules for the gas.  You may have to take 5 at a time to get relief.  Good luck!
