Hi, I am a 34 year old female and I had my gallbladder removed 6 weeks ago. I have experienced the trapped gas in either shoulders and also it can move to my left side, by my ribs. God awful pain, comes out of nowhere. Last time it happened (3weeks ago) it stayed almost a week. This time I am on day two. I know it is trapped gas, because I have felt it before from other surgeries and there is nothing else like it, or can match the discomfort. A heating pad is helpful, and I also try to walk around more. We are in this together friends, hope all goes well and it stays away for good for everyone.
I also just had my gallbladder out 7 days ago. I had severe pain between shoulder blades (more to right side upper area) that also went through to my chest. I too had hoped and had been told that removal of the gallbladder would solve this issue. It has not and I am very scared now. Could it take longer than this for it to resolve itself after having the gallbladder out?? Should I be looking at some other cause? This has been going on since April, originally thought Heart attack and Heart and Lung CT normal, then went to Chiro for months before they checked my gallbladder and removed it. Not sure how much longer I can keep going like this. Any suggestions?
Been having the same problem. Had my gallbladder out 4 days ago and still have pain in my left shoulder blade area. Hoping its just the gas also. Starting to think I was going crazy and I also have the acid reflux. I thought getting your gallbladder removed would solve all those problems.
Hey crew guy-
This exact same experience is happening to me. I had mine removed 8 days ago and now the shoulder pain is back. I had the shoulder pain, nausea, and a bit of acid reflux also right after surgery. I was fine for a few days and now this sharp pain in the right shoulder. I think it is worse when I take a deep breath. I am glad to hear that someone else has had the same symptoms and I am not going crazy.
So thanks for posing the comment.
i appreciate that info i was scared my problem was somehow back
