I had this same trouble and the doctor told my I'm Lactose and Xylose intolerant. I have been using Lactose free products and taking Digestive Enzymes found at a health food store, and so far the trouble has receeded. I am thirty and never had any indication of the problem before, so it can start at any age. Also, the doctor thinks that my pancreas isn't producing the proper enzymes for digestion. This is another reason why I've started to take the digestive enzymes. I take two at each meal. I hope this helps. From what I've read, the pain from Lactose intolerance starts about half an hour after eating and last for a few hours. It can cause diarhea, cramping, and headaches.

Hello,

I too have been suffering about the same thing for the past 2 months. In the past I've had many stomach issues but this was a new symptom. I had been in and out of the hospital for about a whole week without any answers. I was very frustrated!

My pain also started about 30 min after eating. I had to be home because the pain was awful. I also felt very nauseous. I was literally on the ground sobbing for about 2-3 hours. I'd take vicodin to ease the pain but that didn't help.

I made an appointment with my GI dr and she requested a HIDA scan thinking it was the gall bladder, test came back negative. She then ordered a GES(gastric emptying scan). So, after almost three months with agonizing pain she emailed me and said my results were very positive with severe gastroparesis, a disorder in which the stomach takes too long to empty after eating. This occurs when the nerves to the stomach are damaged or don't work.

Contact your GI dr and let them know your symptoms. Now my pain started in the upper section of the stomach and would gradually move to the right.

Hope this helps a bit. Feel free to ask any questions. Good luck!!
