stomach tremors and morning 'hangover'

Almost every night I wake up in the early hours of the morning with pulsating in my upper abdomen. It is quite fast and may be a tremor. It is not palpitations since I have had that checked out with a portable heart monitor. When I get up it goes away and I feel better after about half an hour. Every morning I wake up feeling 'hungover' although I don't drink. I sometimes get very drowsy during the day and if I go to bed the same thing happens.

All routine blood tests are normal apart from slightly elevated liver ALT and GAMMA GT. My only diagnosed long term illnesses are metabolic syndrome and fatty liver.

Has anybody any idea what might be going on?
