upper right quadrant abdominal pain

Some of these posts sound exactly what I'm experiencing. A few months ago I started having short waves of pressure and slight pain in my upper right quadrant of my abdomen. I thought it was a pulled muscle because it would last one day and not return for a few weeks later. Two weeks ago the pressure has been continuous, every day for multiple times throughout the day. After a visit to the ER, my U/S came back negative along with my HIDA. Now I'm being directed to a GI doctor for scoping. My pain is minimal it feels more like a constant balloon expanding in my URQ and slowly subsiding. How can so many people have these similar symptoms but we still don't have an answer.

I have been having the same problem for the last few weeks.  It doesn't hurt just feels really weird.  I had an ultrasound today and the tech said she did not see any gallstones or anything abnormal.  I had blood work and urine test done this past Friday, still waiting on the results.  I think it is the gallbladder, maybe not stones but sludge or just not emptying as frequently as it should.  I have also experienced a warm sensation on my slightly below where the tennis ball feeling is, which makes me think it is the gall bladder.  I am 44 and starting perimenopause, I found that it is not uncommon for women to experience gall bladder issues during this due to lower progesterone levels.  If anyone gets an answer to what this is please share.

My thoughts exactly. I have an appt with a GI Dr tomorrow. Hopefully they will have other suggestions. I have noticed if I eat small frequent meals throughout the day, the pressure isn't as often or severe versus a large meal. Has anyone else notice this difference?

I'm wondering the same thing. I also have the URQ pain that's been going on for months. My family Dr thought it might be gastritis and put me on Prilosec. It did not help after being on it for almost 2 months. I ended up in the hospital with this pain and they did blood work and a CT scan. Everything came back completely normal. I did have my gallbladder removed 10 years ago so I know it's not that.
Why do so many people have this pain and can not find out why? It's so frustrating.
I do have an appointment with a GI specialist in 2 weeks. It sure takes a long time to get those appointments. My concern is that she will do all these tests and find nothing.
