weird stomach condition

am a 16 year old girl about 100 lbs with week stomach musles because of this I have a cronic bloating problem. I never have pain just a adicomforting feeling that I am always aware that my stomach is there; fror about 2 years. I have to go lay down when my lower stomach bloats up. This happens for about 15 min. about 4 or 5 if not more times a day. When it bloats while I am at school I have to go to the nurce; lay down, and ice my tummy until the swelling in my tummy below my bellybutton goes down about 15 min. and when the swelling goes down I apply heat for a few quick minutes to sooth the tummy. She also gives me an 8oz glass of powered milk which helps alot. This is very anoying! I do wear an abdomonial brace about 24/7 which really help and lowers the number of episodes that I get a day. I tas thinking about appling a heating pad/patch for 24/7 to see if that helps. The Dr. can't find much wrong and says their is not much that he can fo except to lay down when I have a bloating episode in my lower lummy until the swelling goes down. He also recomonded physical therapy to strenthen my weak stomach mussles. When I have a bloating episode should I apply heat or ice or both? Is there anything else I can do to help my poor tummy? Should I get a heathing pad/ patch and wear it 24/7 to see if that helps? I also howeever, get my periods regularly and normally but with severe bloating. I was tested for food alergies and only dust came up.

I'm really sorry to hear you're having such a terrible problem at such a young age.  Is there a reason you don't get much exercise?  I do agree with your doctor that strengthening your muscles will help you deal with it better, but won't cure the underlying problem.  Same thing for the heat and ice - you're treating the symptoms but not the cause.

Have you ever been to a gynecologist?  Since your issue is so low in the pelvis and that is where your reproductive organs are located, a gynecologist may be able to pin down the problem.

You're too young to have "weak" stomach muscles, there is an underlying problem.  I agree with Jaybay, see an OB-GYN.  Have you seen a Gastroenterologist?  If you google "weak stomach muscles" it does not have anything that pertains to someone like you who is young and never had babies.  There is a condition gastroparesis but this bloats your actual stomach, not the area you're speaking of.  I think your doctor just doesn't know what is wrong, and therefore it's IMPERATIVE that you speak to your parents and tell them not to accept this lame diagnosis.  I think it's something with your reproductive organs.  Please let us know what docs you have seen, and please emphasize to your parents that this is not a diagnosis, and they truly need to persue this until they have answers!!!!!
