elevated liver enzymes from meds sometimes- cholesterol meds, NSAIDS(tylenol is one of these), antibiotics... also can be from alcohol or hepatitis? do you have any other symptoms.. i believe mono will raise your liver enzymes but am not positive.... do you take any herbal supplements as well
Have you also been taking any Tylenol? Medication such as that can do it too. I was taking Spironolactone for 2 years and then all of a sudden my liver enzymes were in the 600's - the doctors couldn't figure out what was causing the elevated liver enzymes - I was admitted into the hospital and released the next day with elevated enzymes still. Anyway, I was taken off of the Spiro and BINGO, my enzymes started coming back down. To this day the doctors told me the Spiro didn't cause the elevated enzymes, but I think differently and think the medication was the culprit. Look up the side effects online of the medications you are taking and see for yourself if any of them cause this.
Not that I know of. I am on zoloft and ativan and prilosec and my dr. says those wont do it. They are doing more bloodwork tomorrow to see if it has changed.
I had elevated liver enzymes due to an allergic reaction to an antibiotic. As soon as they took me off the medicine, the count fell.
Are you on any kind of meds that could be doing this?
Yea, I pretty much figured out that one.
I went to my dr., whom I dont have much confidence in. He seems to give me those same kind of vague answers.
Anyways, I was asking to see if anyone had some kind of specific idea.
Thanks for your time and effort.
....im going out on a limb here, but id say...LIVER PROBLEMS????
