white stool

Hi, my 4 yr. old niece has gone from olive green stool, gray and now to a white stool. She has also started peeing the bed at night. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be?

Whilst we do not wish to worry you, I would suggest that you take this young Girl to the doctor ASAP. Whilst it could be because she is back-up with poo, going by the fact that her poos where green then grey, and now white, it would suggest that there is some kind of bile duct blockage.

Also, it could be a Liver infections, such as hepatitis, which can be easily treated by your GP.

I wish you guys all the best with this little girl, and wish her steady health.

Jodilove, bile is the 'colorant' that makes a stool brown colored. If the bile isn't released bile properly, the stool will go grayish and then white. This can be a serious situation in some cases, so please get her to a doctor and have the situation checked out.
