I am 23 years old male suffering from the same symptom since last 7 years. I was in a HSC when I felt irritation and inflammation in my anus. Whenever I hv stool a stickly white or yellow mucus dischrge with fishy/foul odour comes from my anus. If I sit for long time I experence some wetness in my anus followed by fishy smell. I am not alcoholic neitther I take coffee still I have this problem. Even my best friends fom school tease me indirectly by passing comments about it and so do my college classmates.
When I used to go to class people around me experience some fishy smell from me. I stopped thinking about it. But as soon as i joined niit class or college people experienced same thing and passed weird comments about it. I also visited plenty of doctors and they told me its in your mind. Even my parents tell me same thing that u r perfectly fine. The problem is still there now i have completed my graduation and am working in a office but same thing persist. Here people tend to laugh make fun of me pinch their noise use room freshner and also pass wierd comments.  But I knw what the problem is as it has been 7 years. I also tried many medicines but none helped me. I also used Diltiazem hydrochloride cream . I also took sitz bath but it is also nt useful.I also had a barium enaema and colonoscopy test done both were negative.I visited a doctor and he diagnosed me with anal fissure.I am now using episom salt for sitz bath. I will also try Colax tablets( to clean colon) and green tea. Hope this will work. I am very much depressed PlZ HELP ME in sorting out this things and suggest me some medicines to cure this.

Yellow stool
I have the same problem but mine started immediately following my gallbladder surgery in 2009. Mine has been out of control since then but not everyone has this problem. If you still have your gallbladder you will need a gallbladder function test and probably will need to have your liver checked out as well. Frequently when a gallbladder is removed a liver biopsy is often done at the same time. But it could turn out to be lifelong problem at that point as it has for me. Approximately 60% of everyone who has their gallbladder removed have continued problems and gain a substantial amount of weight after the surgery. The yellow is bile, BTW. It will cause diahhrea and can cause burning as well since you're eliminating stomach acid directly through the colon and rectum. Fun, huh?

It sounds like you need to see a doctor to have this checked out. Please go to an ER if you get worse or develop a fever.
