How quick is the reoccurring of GIST?

A 1.2cm gist tumor was found through endoscopy in the fundus part of my stomach. I had a surgery Oct 30 2017. After surgery the hematologist said I needed no chemo, now it has been 6 weeks after surgery,  I had another contrast cat scan today and they found a 1.4 exophytic nodule protruding off the inferior aspect of the fundus in the same area and eccentric stomach wall thickening contiguous to the nodule. Does what I have mean the tumor is back or it is just an inflammation after the surgery?? I am losing my mind as the doctor said the possibility of the tumor is coming back after the resection surgery is 0 to 2percent. Anyone had the same experiences? Any doctors here would give me an answer?
