~* SAD 7 YEAR SWEATS PROFUSELY~*

My 7year old daughter sweats profusely on her hands, feet and under arms. She says she knows when its going to happen because her face starts getting really hot and she feels on fire, then she's sweats. Its very upsetting for her as people in school have teased her. I have tried different deodorant's, powders. Her biological father was the same way. I don't know what else to try. It REALLY bothers her.

Hyperhidrosis is the cause of your daughters sweating.  It is a benign condition and there is no cure.  My daughter has the same thing and you typically see excess sweat on your palms, underarms, and feet.  This is a genetic disease.  There are varying degrees and some have a mild case, and others more severe.  In my daughters case, hers is mild, but is still bothersome and at times embarrassing.  I'm so sorry that the kids tease her.  Anxiety will make it worse unfortunately.  You need to let her know that it's not her fault, and to ignore people that make fun of her.  As she gets older, it will not be so prevalent.
Botox, does help but the shots are painful, and only temporary.
You may want to google the name, and see if any new treatments are on the horizon.  Certain deodorants do help.
Tell your little girl that you know another little girl that has it, and when she doesn't worry about it, it gets better
Take care.      Kim
