7 weeks and bleeding

I am 7 weeks and 3 days pregnant and started bleeding this morning. I miscarried at 9 weeks a year ago and panicked as soon as it happened. I went to the E.R. and they did an ultrasound to find that the baby was only developed to 5 1/2 weeks and no heartbeat. My hormone levels were in the 4,000 area and I was technically not miscarring due to the fact that my cirvix was still closed and the hormone levels. They think that perhaps I was not as far along as i thought i was, but I know I was. My question to anyone is: Has anyone been in this same situation and went to full term? They told me to go to my ob/gyn in 48 hours to have them check my hormone levels again to see if they go up, but I am so skeptical. I still feel VERY pregnant, but I am bleeding a good amount. And I,m very scared. This is the 2nd time in a row with the same outcome.
Just to note: My husband and I have 2 other children 13yrs and 3 yrs no problems. I'm 33. Does this happen more often the older you get?

I just wanted to regretfully say that early this morning (18 hours after initial bleeding) I lost the baby at home. I hope that this will help anyone in this similar situation. It was relatively pain free (light cramping), but ultimately sad even though i expected it. As they say, all things happen for a reason, and i am very gratefull it happened so early in the pregnancy. The baby never grew large enough to have a heartbeat. I am thankful that I have such a wonderful, loving husband, supportive family, and two beautiful children It has made me realize that EVERY child is a miracle. If you have children, hug and kiss them every day and tell them you love them. Good luck to everyone trying to conceive. And I thank everyone who responded to my question. Thanks for letting me vent!

i just wanna say i was having the SAME thing.. and no cramping.  I went to the ER i had a sonogram and blood work, everything turned out fine.  The Dr. said my blood work showed that my ovaries weren't making enough progesterone and he put me on Prometrium.   I'm now 13 weeks and almost done taking it.  There's something in the peanut oil that strengthens the uterine lining and creates more progesterone.  The down side is that to take the pill orally it cost me $136 and some change. (my insurance didn't cover it)  But its totally worth EVERY penny for the well being of our little peanut<3

I am so sorry that you are going through this!  Are you having cramps with the bleeding?  I would call your doctors office asap and ask them about it!  Hope that you and baby are okay.
