Ansthetic

I recently had a tooth removed and was given  local anasthetic. I was out for some of the procedure, and initally felt dizzy after. Then I passed out, I remember feeling very cold too. I came round only for it to happen again. For the next few days I felt weak and shakey. This is not the first time this has happened, it has happened without me having a tooth out. I'm not  very good with general anastethic anyway as I tend to take a longer time to recover than most, and feel strange for some time afterwoods. I was wondering what the cause could be.

This sure sounds like an allergy to the anesthetic. I would tell the doctor and if he won't listen, go to one that will. This is a serious matter.

Thank you for your comments, much appreciated, I have seen a Dr, who quite simply dismissed what I said. However I am going to see another Dr next week.
I quite simply didn't think about mentioning what happened in the past to the dentist, won't make that mistake again.

If this is not the first time it's happened on the ansthetic, then it might be a good idea to not take it anymore and why did you not tell your dentist about your problem? you know thats a good way to never wake up again!

hello i do not have a clue what the cause could be but i suggest you go to your doctor and tell him/her and if they dont listen go to a walk in centre because blacking out is a cause for concern. x

It sounds like an allergic reaction. Maybe the next time you have to have dental work done you can talk to the dentist about this and ask for gas instead.
