Black dental-floss-like substance pulled from a bump, maybe cyst.

So I noticed I had what looked like a hair bump on my crotch and proceeded to pop it to let the puss out. I used a needle to pop it because popping with pressure hurts. I squeeze the puss out and use the needle again to lift some of the leftover skin from the bump so I could cut it off and let a scab form. When doing this the needle hooked on to two black thread like things and pulled them up. They formed an arc when I pulled it up but had a membrane in between them. I didn't cut them because I figured they might be nerves or blood vessels and that would be bad. What should I do

No need to panic. Just Clean & disinfect the area so as to avoid the spreading of any infection to other areas of skin. You could also use a healing antimicrobial ointment over the wound and protect it from any dust, etc by covering with soft bandage. But if you already see some more lumps on other areas then you must see a dermatologist for relief. Get your blood sugar levels checked as the cause can be lying there.

Thank you. I disinfected it and put neosporin on it.
