Blood clots in Bowel Movement

During a bowel movement I passed a few red blood clots, as well as a bunch of blood.  What does this mean?

If this is persistent, please have this sorted out as soon as possible.  Some people occasionally may pass blood in their stool especially if the bm was hard, etc.

No sure how much blood you are talking about, but if you believe it was a significant amount, please seek medical attention.

This could mean a number of things.

You should have a Colonoscopy and find out what's causing it.  It may be ulcertive colitis.  marnie602

Best see a doctor about this, that is not normal. You may have bursted a small blood vessel in the anus area, but, I would ask just to be sure it is nothing serious.
