Bowel problems?

Hi there, at the start of January i began having bad pains in my abdomen. The left side mainly and was slightly nauseous at times. Within the week of these pains i became very constipated for 4 days and couldnt pass stool so i started drinking litres of water and eating as much fibre as i could. Eventually i managed to push out very hard stool and after that i thought the pain on my left hand side would subside and it did marginally but it was persistently there so i went to the chemist and they offered me something called colpermin and within days the pain had gone so i went to the doctors and described my situation and he said he felt i had a small case of irritable bowel as my doet was mever good before hand and i would need to have more of an intake of fibre which i have made sure of since. He also prescribed me something called colfac which i havent really liked so i stopped taking them. Anway since i seen the doctor i am literally nauseous every day and get the occasional slught pains and i always feel like i can feel my guy working if you know what i mean. Im not sure what it could be if it could be IBS because i dont get constipated or have diaorreha just a persistent mild nauseous feeling and cramps in my abdomen. Im worried i might have an obstruction in my bowels since i was constipated for a sinlge period only. I also have a lot of mucus in the back of my throat and a slight burning feeling in my throat when i breathe in after having a meal. No loss of appetite or inability to eat larfe ammounts either. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, gonna go to the doctors again on monday as i dont want to live with this nausea every day and as last time he said it would only be IBS as im so young since im 19. Thank you...
