Calf pain and burning blood clot ruled out.

Hi, I'm a 32 year old female that started getting back into shape after having my son a year ago. I have been having lots of burning almost tearing sensation in my left calf.. the whole calf. The doctors did a doplar on my leg and ruled out a blood clot.

I took some time off from exercise and bought new shoes. All my work outs are low impact mostly walking and kettle bells. My leg started to feel a little better so I got back into working out again slowly... and lots of warm ups cool downs and foam rolling.

A month in.. I'm having that severe burning, pulling tight pain in my calf. It feels as though it wants to knot up at times. Also now getting aches in the tendon under the inside of my ankle bone down into my arch.

I'm resting it again taking ibuprofen, using a tens unit for pain as well. No stretching right now cause that seems to make it worse, and no foam rolling.

This has been going on, on and off since fall last year. Also.... there has never been any redness or swelling. No bruising or fever.. Just pain

Thank you for your time

Sounds like you have a calf injury, obviously.  I had one too and wowza, that's painful!  I used arnica on it (have you ever used this?  You rub it in, it's an all natural product that you can get at any drug store).  I also got some menthol stick ons, Salon Pas is a brand name, Icy hot is another (but not my favorite product).  I also did massage on myself and took ibuprofen.  I did a lot of stretching.  You can ice it or use a heating pad, both help.

Does your gym have a pool?  You could try water aerobics or swimming while you heal.  good luck
