Can you see beyond inflammation on a mri w/o contrast?

I had an mri w/o contrast 2 months ago and was told there was inflammation and then was treated for a sinus infection. I still feel pressure in my head and randomly have ice-pick headaches that I didn't have before including some random pain behind eyes. I asked for a mra but they won't give it to me because my last scan was healthy minus the inflammation. So could there possibly be something they missed either because of size or the inability to see behind the inflammation? I had a cbc and that came back normal too.
